Sound, Silence, Noise and Music
Sound is anything we can hear. Silence is the absence, or near absence, of audible sound. Noise often means sound that feels unwanted, disturbing or unstructured, although this depends on the listener and situation. Music brings sounds and silences together in meaningful patterns, but cultures and individuals may experience music in different ways.
